Honey blue-eyes are only found in a few areas in South East QLD, their habitat is under threat due to coastal development and the urban sprawl. They are a great fish to have in outdoor ponds. Usually found at about 1.5-2.5cm in length but will grow to 3cm. It is illegal to take these fish from the wild as they are a protected species, and can be obtained from fish breeders. This is the type of HABITAT that these fish like. |
